Accommodation at Les Menuires is particularly interesting because the resort is fully functional ski-in and ski-out or doorstep skiing resort. Les Menuires was birthed as a ski resort in 1964; almost as the yields of success from the Three Valleys ski terrain and in particular, Courchevel. The resort originally started out as a cluster of high rise apartments to cater to visiting skiing tourists but in the years to come, the resort would expand and 1984 welcomed a rethink of the construction in this part of the Three Valleys. The result of the re-think brought about a new vision and a new plan for a controlled development of the ski terrain with a focus on preserving the natural environment. As such, accommodation construction was carried out with a view of preserving the alpine spirit of the terrain using wood from the woodland and slate from nearby villages.

Les Menuires has a wide range of top quality accommodation to choose from. There have been quite a number of building refurbishments and demolitions of old defunct buildings to be replaced with modern builds in keeping with the ideals of the constriction plan of 1984. Although some of the old high rise buildings still remain in the resort, there has been a good effort of constructing large chalet style apartments that go a long way to restore the charisma back into the resort.

There aren't that many people who would oppose staying in a cosy ski holiday chalet in Les Menuires. It is, after all, a popular choice for visiting guests who are in search of a traditional ski resort experience. Chalets truly capture the quintessential ski holiday spirit. With the resort sitting at an altitude of 1850m, there are breathtaking views from just about everywhere from the resort; then add the novelty of enjoying these views from your chalet balcony or from the large bay windows within the chalet curled up next to a crackling fire on an evening where you take a break from the apres ski excursions.

The chalets in Les Menuires vary stylistically from old and rustic to modern and contemporary. They also come in different sizes to cater to small or large travelling groups (although the majority of chalet dwellers often travel in larger groups). Les Chalets du Soleil

Les Chalets du Soleil is a modern chalet rental apartment situated in the Quartier Reberty 2000 district of the resort. It sleeps 39 guests in total and although it may appear to be a building split into 2 different apartment sections ( Natalia and Julietta buildings), Les Chalets du Soleil is very much a chalet residence as each of its lettings are particularly constructed in the traditional chalet style of wood and stone. Perched at an altitude of 2000m (hence the reference in the name, Reberty 2000) guests at Les Chalets du Soleil are treated to stunning views of the mountain range. As a ski-in and ski-out accommodation, guests are granted direct access to the slopes. Les Menuires position in Three Valleys makes it possible to to ski directly from the resort to Val Thorens and as such, visitors can leave their doorstep straight for a lively apres ski in Val Thorens! Imagine that!

Depending on the travel size, each chalet can host any number of guests between 4/ 5 and up to 13/15 at a time per chalet. The bedrooms are all double and may have double beds or twin beds (also depending on the chalet size and number of rooms in the chalet). Each room in the chalet is very neatly presented with modern furnishings and light wood finishes on walls; some walls (mostly in the living rooms spaces) have stone walls for effect. The living room spaces have a large modern fireplace and very chic decorations to complement. There is also a large glass door which opens up to a spacious balcony from where the views can be appreciated. Each apartment has a flat screen satellite TV, comfortable sofas, fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances for self catering, a dining area that sits the maximum number of guests per apartment chosen, outdoor furniture and dining set, sound proof windows for privacy and may also have an en suite bathroom depending on the chosen apartment. There is also a ski room for equipment storage, complete with boot warmers. Guests at Les Chalets du Soleil also enjoy access to the wellness with a sauna and hammam; no better way to unwind after the day's skiing conquests.

Les Menuires has quite a wide range of apartments to choose from for your ski retreat to the Three Valleys. You can find anything from a 2 star modest apartment to a 4 star chalet styled boutique apartment in Les Menuires. A contributing factor to the diverse range of apartment styles in the village can be attributed to the development guidelines introduced to the Three Valleys in the 1980’s where there was a deviation from the old apartment block style of buildings to more spacious buildings being built in a chalet style design.

Cheaper to rent than a chalet but with almost the same freedom and privacy for guests, apartments are a fantastic option for travelling families who want to find and create a home away from home atmosphere on their visit to Les Menuires. Ideal for smaller sized travelling groups, especially young families or a small group of friends on ski getaway who value their private space as a group and would like to save on renting a chalet. As with chalets, apartments are almost always self catering; however, there are also assisted catering services that can be arranged by apartment owners or tour operators. Le Hameau de la Sapinière

An absolutely fantastic apartment located in Reberty 1850 district of Les Menuiers, Le Hameau de la Sapinière is an amazing luxury apartment built very much in traditional chalet style. Le Hameau de la Sapinière would be the epitome of what the vision for accommodation in Les Menuires and the Three Valleys would look like, when the resort was only a concept in the 1920’s. Officially recognised as apartments and not chalets, there is no shortage of chalet themed luxury, regardless. Located only a few minutes walk from the resort center and the slopes , Le Hameau de la Sapinière has 59 different apartment hamlets and sleeps anywhere from 4 to 11 guests per apartment. It utilizes an impressive mix of traditional alpine architecture and contemporary modern features to create an idyllic atmosphere around the complex. Each apartment features different interior designs ranging from wood beam ceilings to stone walled interiors to lighwood wall and floor finishes. The living rooms are spacious and often include an open plan living style with dining table set and fully equipped kitchen. There is a large fireplace in the living spaces often flanked by comfortable sofas or seats. There are floor to ceiling windows attached to doors in the apartments which open up to the spacious balcony with additional seating. The interiors are all finished to a very good standard. The apartments come fully equipped with modern appliances; satellite TV’s, wireless internet amongst others. The bedrooms are all double and depending on the chosen apartment may have anywhere from 2 bedrooms to 5 bedrooms. Some are also cabin sized bedrooms may have twin or bunk beds for kids; these may not be as spacious as the others. The master bedroom may also come with an alcove and curtain with the double bed. Le Hameau de la Sapinière is family friendly, pet friendly and also has onsite parking. Long day on the slopes? No problem. Relax, unwind and recharge your “batteries” in the sauna and steam rooms.
