Tignes Ski Transfers
Tignes Transfer FAQs
What type of ski transfer do I need to get to Tignes?
The Tignes-Val d’Isere ski area ( formerly known as the Espace Killy ski area) is one of Europe's highest ski areas and is a top destination for high altitude skiing, great snowy conditions and a very vibrant apres-ski party scene. As is the case with just about every ski resort in the European Alps, there are no direct trains or flights to Tignes; with the easiest way to get to the resort being a transfer arrangement. At Erna Low, we have a good selection of transfer options that you can browse through and select based on your personal needs, preferences and requirements. If you would like to travel to Tignes exclusively in the company of only yourself or your travel group ( family or friends), you would find the private transfer most suitable. This is a great option because the journey to Tignes sets off immediately and you are picked up by the drivers as you would not have to wait for any additional passengers. A shared transfer is perfect for travelling skiers who do not mind sharing the transfer vehicle with other travellers to Tignes. Shared transfers are a less expensive option than private transfers and an excellent option for skiers visiting on a budget and looking to cut costs. It is also a great opportunity to meet new people with a shared interest in skiing. We have partnered with some of the best ski transfer companies in the region and as such guarantee a safe and relaxed transfer to commute to Tignes, irrespective of the transfer option you have chosen to go for.
What airports can I transfer from to get to Tignes?
You can get a transfer from most airports in France however, the closest and most convenient airports which have the shortest transfer times to Tignes are Genèva international airport, Saint-Exupéry Lyon airport, otherwise known as Lyon airport, Grenoble airport (officially known as Grenoble Alpes Isère airport), and the Chambéry Aix-les-Bains Airport more commonly known as Chambery airport. Both Chambery and Grenoble to Tignes transfers are actually shorter drives to make between both resorts and the airports, however, due to their status and small size, both airports do not have international flight connections and the frequency of flights to and from these airports are significantly less than international airports. Chambery and Grenoble would be excellent choices if you were flying in locally from France as it would be easier to find a local flight within these airports. If you were flying in from overseas, Geneva International airport would be the most recommended choice thanks not only to the frequency of flights but also its vast flight connections from many major intercontinental cities. The Geneva to Tignes transfer is much favoured over Lyon to Tignes as it is often the most advised transfer and also the most frequented from the other options. That being said, regardless of what airport transfer you choose, our promise at Erna Low is to provide a safe, comfortable and relaxed journey to Tignes.
How much do you charge for transfers to and from Tignes?
All our prices are set to be very competitive but also reflect the quality and standard of the transfer service that we offer. The prices for transfers to and from Tignes depend on a number of factors including the type or mode of transfer option selected; the number of the persons needing a transfer ( as a large group of family and friends may require more than one vehicle especially if the transfer is a private one), the proximity and travel time to the transfer pickup area; if the transfer is a single or return transfer etc These are some of the factors that determine the cost of the transfers. When making your holiday booking, you can also view the transfer prices on our website on the ski transfers page which can be found after selecting the ski resort. The prices will be displayed next to the type of transfer selected. For any additional cost and price information, please do not hesitate to us as our friendly team is always ready and available to help with whatever inquiry you may have.
