Sestriere is among the earliest purpose-built ski resorts in the Italian Alps. It's also one of the highest sitting resorts in the Milky Way ski area at 2,035 metres. It has fantastic snow conditions thanks in part to its high altitude and north-west facing slopes. Sestriere gained international recognition as it hosted the World Cup Ski races back in February1997 and the World Winter Olympics in 2006. As part of the Milky Way ( also commonly known as the Vialattea), Sestriere has access to up to 400 kilometres of pistes across a range of difficulties and suitable for all ski ability levels.

Where Can I buy a Sestriere Ski pass?
You can buy your Sestriere ski pass from any of the ticket offices or ticket machines below the lifts at the resort. It is a relatively small resort so either of the ticket points is hard to miss. There are ticket offices in the resort centre, at the end of the row of shops facing the slopes, as well as the bottom of the Fraiteve gondola. The main ski pass office is located in Piazza Agnelli.

If you are making your ski holiday booking with us online at Erna Low, the easier and most convenient way to purchase your ski pass is directly with us as part of your overall ski holiday booking. Securing your ski pass with us is a very straightforward process and easily puts you ahead of the long queue you may encounter at the machines ( especially at peak times). It also saves you the extra task of trying to purchase passes upon arrival; ordering your pass online as part of your booking automatically ticks that box leaving you with one less thing to worry about when you arrive.

How Do Ski Passes Work in Sestriere?
When purchased, the ski pass access is electronically added to a smart card which you should always have in your possession when heading out to the slopes.
The card functions in a similar fashion to most travel and metro cards; just swipe or scan yourself through the lifts for access to the slopes. Some can be kept in front or sleeve pockets for contactless access and remote activation of the card.
Can I Pre-Book My Sestriere Ski Pass?
Yes. It is possible to pre-book your Sestriere ski pass before arriving at the resort. It is the easiest way of obtaining your ski pass and we highly recommend it.

It saves you the time and effort of buying it at the ski resort and allows you to browse for discounts ahead of time, some of which are only available online. As earlier mentioned, you can pre-book your ski pass with us directly whilst making your holiday booking. Feel free to contact us for any further assistance with this.
