Known as one of the best child-friendly resorts in the Alps, Les Gets really pulls out all the stops at Christmas. Father Christmas can be spotted skiing around the village before heading to the enchanted forest where he lives with his elves. Children can enjoy guided tours of the enchanted forest and listen to Father Christmas tell magical stories before joining elf workshops. Don’t be fooled though, there is still a lot for the parents to enjoy as well - on Christmas eve there is a torchlit ski descent with fireworks that is a great spectacle for the whole family. Without a doubt one of the most snowsure resorts in the whole of Europe, Val Thorens has a jam-packed schedule of events throughout the week of Christmas. In previous years, holiday goers have enjoyed ice carving, gospel winter concerts, Santa Claus treasure hunts and much more. It’s very hard not to get in the spirit of Christmas in this resort. Although the ski instructors within resort perform their torch-lit descent, Val Thorens also offers a children’s descent for all the family - it’s supervised, safe and an absolute must!!3. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day the main square opens up a Christmas Forest, where kids can write letters to Santa, make their own Christmas decorations and meet Santa's elves.
