Quietly resting in a corner of the Ötztal Alps and ski area is one of the highest ski resort villages in not only Austria but Europe. Types of Ski Pass in Obergurgl
There are different types of ski passes available at Obergurgl which are based on ski terrain access granted, age, duration of ski period (number of days ), number of members in a group and time of year. There are also beginner ski passes to multi day ski passes and full season passes covering the whole season from November to April. They were originally two main ski areas that are accessed by two different ski passes; the Gurgl ski area covers the Obergurgl and Hochgurgl surrounding ski areas and the Solden ski pass which extended the access area to include the pistes on the Solden resort. At the start of the ski season in November 2021, there will be an additional ski pass area, which is the Otztal Super Skipass. It will cover up to 363 kilometres of extended ski slopes and grant additional access to up to 90 lifts across the mountain range. The Otztal covers the Obergurgl-Hochgurgl and Solden ski pistes as well as Hochoetz-Kuhtai, Niederthai, Vent and Gries ski areas.
Group Ski Pass:
This group ski pass offers discounts for a group of up to 20 skiers. This includes Adults, Children and Youth groups. The Group pass must be purchased at once and cannot be split or broken down within the group.
Children Ski Pass:
There are various discounts for children at Obergurgl depending on their date of birth. The various discounts range across an age demographic classified as Youth Rates, Child rates and Snow Kids. These discounts are redeemable only after proof of age has been presented.
Disabled Persons Ski Pass:
There are significant discounts for disabled persons who are using the lifts. The rates may differ based on the age of the disabled person. Proof of disability is required to redeem the discount on the ski pass.
Seniors:
There are senior discounts available to be applied on ski passes on visiting holiday makers aged 80 years old and above. Valid photo identification is required at point of purchase to redeem the discount.
